After a corporate career in marketing and advertising that took me to New York and Los Angeles, I made a quality of life move to Napa Valley, where I built a thriving media services business and wrote my first novel.

Advertising and Marketing

  • Led the marketing, technical, and creative teams responsible for the development of the Kraft Foods iFood application dubbed a “killer app” by Advertising Age, and ranked as one of Apple's top 100 most popular applications.

  • Campaign ideation, social media strategy, SEO, and on-brand ad copy and tagline creation, to meet client marketing objectives.  

  • Developed statement of work and strategy documents for agency clients including ABC/Disney, Sony, Nestle, Purina, and Kraft Foods.

  • Public relations for the Knightsbridge Theater in Los Angeles responsible for marketing strategy, media kit creation, newsletters, and press releases.

  • Converted 12 print magazines (music and entertainment categories) to online properties. 

  • Grew personal author platform to 17,000 followers on Facebook and Twitter in one year's time.

  • Directed marketing, event, and program implementation for the Duke City Shootout Filmmaking competition in Los Angeles and New Mexico.

  • Served as celebrity recruiter and liaison for the Duke City Shootout to secure mentors and script judges who included Tom Waits, Talia Shire, Morgan Freeman, Peter Fonda, Phillip Kaufman, Patricia Cardoso, and Phyllis Diller.

  • Create compelling web content, newsletters, ad copy, online media and press announcements for clients, including Hyatt, Avia, Lodgeworks, Indian Springs Resort, Napa River Inn, Terra Valentine Winery, and racecar driver, Danica Patrick.

  • Wine, food, and lifestyle blogger for California Home + Design, 7x7, North Bay Bohemian, and Brazen Woman.

  • Freelance writer for the Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Wine Enthusiast, Napa Valley Life, Napa Register, Weekly Calistogan, and St. Helena Star.  

  • Journalist who has conducted A-list interviews with Matthew McConaughey, Will Ferrell, Colin Farrell, Viggo Mortensen, Kurt Russell, John Travolta, Mike Meyers, and Kevin Costner, while covering the Napa Valley Film Festival.

  • Frequent contributor to NorthBay Biz magazine. Promoted to monthly columnist covering the Napa Valley region for the past 10 years.

  • Project manager charged with oversight of online programming, television treatments and commercial copy, for Ears Digital Studio in Los Angles.

  • Author of the romantic comedy, The Dating Bender, which was featured on CBS and USA Today, and was a 2017 Best Book Awards Finalist.
